In 2002, a city school councilor from Mwanza initiated the project: to compensate for the disadvantaged role of girls. As with us in the past, young people in particular are offered better training opportunities. „Girls get married after all…“
Girls’ education is a powerful tool to combat poverty and improve quality of life. Through education, girls are empowered to make informed decisions about their health, family and future. Girls who have access toeducation tend to make healthier choices and receive better health care later in life. This helps reduce disease and improve maternal and child health. Including girls in education and the labor market strengthens a country’s economy. Education gives them better career opportunities, which in turn leads to higher productivity and economic growth.
Overall, supporting girls in Tanzania is not only a question of justice, but also a strategic investment in the future of the country. By empowering girls, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
That’s why we support girls’ secondary education through several institutions in Mwanza:
We most often choose the model of four-year support (grades 8 – 11), which ensures continuity. But an individual donation also helps.
Continuous feedback and reports make it clear what significant benefits each piece of support has brought to the girls.
To continue this initiative we need support, donate using the keyword “promotion of girls”.
