ROBOTICS:
The beauty of robotics is that it combines different technical requirements: mechanics, electronics and computer science. In the end, something emerges that you can literally “understand”. The main goal is to give children joy in technology and to learn the basics in a playful way in order to awaken their interest in technical careers. During the workshop, various practical projects will be carried out: e.g. building a simple flashlight, a robofrog, up to a Bluetooth-controlled car, including a self-programmed remote control.
CODING:
During the programming workshop, participants immerse themselves in the world of programming, develop initial programming skills and gain an understanding of how technology works. This workshop aims to inspire young minds, equip them with essential STEM skills and encourage them to explore the fields of engineering, technology, robotics and programming.
PARTICIPANT:
When allocating workshop places, attention is paid to a balanced ratio of boys and girls. Students aged 10 to 16 from public and private schools were able to apply for these free workshops. All lessons are held in Swahili in order not to exclude children who have not yet acquired sufficient knowledge of English.
