Exhibition “Street Kids”

 

WORKSHOPS

In the workshops the children talk ablout their ideas of Africa, street kids, poverty, and development co-operation. Then 5 to 7 pictures for questioning and discussion are chosen. The detailed pictures offer a quick access to an unknown world.

In advanced classes the pupils can approach more difficult topics like drugs, violence and AIDS. The workshops are conducted by members of the  M.W.A.N.Z.A. e.V. Wuerzburg who have already visited Mwanza..

STREET-RALLYE

The Street-Rallye leads through nine stations of the exhibition.
Every station presents a little game or task to solve.

 

 

 

Integration into school lessons

The visit of the exhibtion can be prepared and discussed in school lessons. Preparative topics are: Africa, Tanzanian culture and history, globalisition, AIDS, malaria, streed kids, child labour, drugs, prostitution, biography, learning from foreign cultures, and development co-operation.

The town twinning Wuerzburg  – Mwanza in its various aspects can be presented by the M.W.A.N.Z.A. e.V.

 

1000 forms for Mwanza

The participation in this ambitious project – running until Pentecost this year – can lead from considering the precarious situation of the street kids to active intervention. Schools without an extra furniture fee are more easily accessible. The M.W.A.N.Z.A. e.V facilitates directly school education by supporting  the street kids project Upendo Daima.
